One of the strangest ski areas.... the ticket window is up 3 floors of stairs.... there is a very slow elevator available. The gondola is cool... the tunnel with a magic carpet is a little different. Concrete construction is the bird!

Snowbird is such an awesome resort. The mountain is amazing and the powder is awesome. You just can’t beat this place.

We loved our experience at Snowbird. It snowed the day before, so the ski conditions were excellent. We were staying downtown Salt Lake City; we took the 953 bus ($9.00 round trip). Very easy and efficient. There is not much to do at Snowbird besides...More

The constant sound of Avalanche Control Bombs being launched is an Unnerving Experience! Never knowing whether the road is open is anxiety provoking! On a snow day they start at 7 am and may go on all day. Would stay away when it snows heavily!

Conveniently close to SLC, will satisfy a diverse mix of skier abiliites, and can really challenge those seeking complexity. With numerous lifts starting at varying levels of the mountain, lift line lengths were very tolerable and the lift speed was appropriate for the distance. Staffing...More

In all of the years skiing at wonderful places, snowbird is still my favorite. Great snow and amazing terrain. Our kids (6 and 8) also had a wonderful time at the mountain school and really improved their technique. If you haven’t been to snowbird, I...More

This is my second visit to Snowbird - the first was several years ago - went on a weekday and enjoyed short lift lines and great terrain and snow conditions. Love the bowls. Buy tickets ahead of time online to save !!

As mentioned by Layton, there is no reservation needed. There is a restaurant at the top and the view is amazing. Don't leave without going up. It's $17 or so per person for the tram.

Some good advise above. Having had the Epic Pass for the past 4 yeas and spent over 1,000,000 vertical feet on at Vail, BC, Breck and others, I can tell you Alta will give you more varied terrain from groomers to steeps. I... More
