Southgate is a great course for those looking for an enjoyable round of golf as opposed to a brutal test of your skills. Southgate also features a game improvement center with award-winning PGA professionals and instruction programs.A great walking course, the front nine requires accuracy to sucessfully negotiate the waterways. Eight out of the nine holes on the front nine feature either a lake or the Santa Clara River as scenic challenges to par. The back 9, slightly longer than the front nine, adds the element of risk and reward which allows the player to recover shots lost on the front nine. Southgate Golf Club is a par-70 layout which is enjoyable for all levels of ability.

Best thing about this course . . . the elevation changes and the views while playing. Some very challenging holes for everyone but the most accurate golfer. Good deals available on the online tee time sites so don't just settle for the city's website for...More

Not quite in the condition of Sunbrook and some really surly, grumpy people working there, especially the ranger and the range attendant. But don't that deter you. Very interesting back nine will make you want to come back for more.

This a a good golf course, with plenty of great holes for all ages.Good greens and must be able to hit all shots. This place will not break the bank.

27 holes of the best golf I have experienced. You can golf almost every day you are here. This is a City owned public course and is very cheap to play. I will do it again.

This is a municipal style course and it plays well. For the price, it's very nice ($25 on EZlinks.com). It helps to play with someone who has been there before because there are several holes that are pretty blind off the tee. We found the...More

This is a very nice course that will make you feel like a big hitter. Even though the yardage is short, the holes are tricky enough to make it a challenge. Most of the par 5's are reachable in 2, and if you've never had...More

We visited St. George and were staying at a timeshare that was right off the 1st fairway. We walked to the clubhouse, got a cart and we were off. The front 9 is flat, built around the Virgin River and a few little lakes and...More

This is one of the most affordable, and also one of the least challenging, courses in the area. It's not too long and the hazards aren't terribly daunting. The view is beautiful, however, and it's a fun course to play.

The front nine has recently been reworked to accommodate the new I-15 interchange. The result is that half of the holes are still pretty sparse of trees. Also, the walking distances seem forever. Water/gully hazards on a couple of the holes are ridiculous. The back...More
