The Kayenta Community, in southern Utah's red rock country, is a tranquil enclave surrounded by protected lands.A 2,000 acre master planned community of fine homes, custom building sites and community amenities, is located 7 miles west of St. George, Utah. Kayenta is a unique departure from the norm, focused on moderate land use, moderate-sustainable growth, and an appreciation for our magnificent natural setting. Nearby, residents find adventure in the southwest's abundance of places to explore. Zion National Park, Snow Canyon and Bryce Canyon National Park are within view. While just beyond the horizon, adventure seekers will discover places like the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell and Las Vegas.

Nice side trip along a scenic road to a planned housing development with a great little art colony. Sidewalk painting events also offered.

This is a frequent stop for my husband and I. In addition to the unique shops with items not to be found elsewhere there is a lovely little cafe where you can grab lunch.

Kayenta seems to be a planned community. Yet it is difficult to navigate, find things to do, and the landscaping is so shabby, it detracts from the new homes in the area.

Great place to visit in any weather. Local artists are featured in various studios and gift shops all centrally located. Great place to take family and friends.

Great area to walk around and see local artist's creations. Not "made in China". There is a new theater/event center that has opened as well. Lovely area to purchase a home.

So the listing is Kayenta but there is actually a lot of things going on out there, we were on a visit to St. George and explored the local surroundings, including the art center at Kayenta and the developments, but there is so much more....More

We looked around the arts area here and it was simply stunning. The items for sale were expensive but beautiful. The drive here was amazing. The cafe was overpriced for my budget, but others seemed to enjoy it. It's a must visit at least once...More

I discovered Kayenta during a visit to St George and was blown away by the natural beauty of the stunning red cliffs, the endless miles of sagebrush, the peaceful and quiet nature of the community, the mix of southwestern contemporary architecture and the commitment to...More

I don't think there are bike rentals in the immediate Kayenta, as it is mostly a unique residential community with a great Artist colony.

There are a lot of bike trails all over the area, but none right by Kayenta. Kayenta is a residential community that blends into the desert with southwestern style homes. Red Rock Bikes (redrockbicycle. com) rents, sales... More
