Came back in the winter. First time here was in the summer. Winter is so cool since the lake is frozen and you can walk over it. People seating on it with a hole made on the ice waiting to fish a trout. Beautiful place ❄️❄️❄️

Our first visiting and the camp ground was awesome! It was hot but the picnic shelters helped and the bathrooms were clean! There is a trail network for walking or biking beside the park or walking along the lake to catch a sunset was awesome!!

Utah lake is a big lake. Why such a poor place on it? I went sailing from the marina Thursday last week with a group of friends. Now I am embarrassed. The facility is a dirt road in... very poorly kept. Or at least it seemed that way. And the docks are the same-very poorly kept-no shine. I would not rent a slip here. No security. They charge $10 but they waived my fee since it was my first and last time there. The lake is a mess. They found PCBs in it I know a few years ago-maybe that is why it is like it is. It was murky and smelly. The bugs were bad. Whomever runs this facility needs to upgrade the area. I would not recommend this place.

We were disappointed after reading about it on your site. The Walking Trail was hard to find and not well maintained. The Visitor Center was closed even though employees were inside. There is really nothing to do but look out at the gorgeous lake while you dream of owning a boat! The upside is we didn't have to pay an entrance fee. If you can be ON THE WATER....go for it! Otherwise, probably not.

We drove out to just check the park out! Lots of people cute little “beach” where people were swimming. Great views of the water & mountains. We went at sunset & the views were fantastic. Boat ramp was nice. Cute small playground! Not much hiking though.

No kidding... this place looks great on paper, but in real life, it's a vast disappointment. While there are picnic area and even a campground, the area is overrun by mosquitos. We could not even get out of the car when we were overtaken-- not an exaggeration-- by hundreds and hundreds of mosquitos. There were EVERYWHERE! The campgrounds also had no shade to speak of. The water in the lake was low, and perhaps that led to the overall feeling that the place was deserted. Utah is such a beautiful state, but Utah Lake is the least beautiful place we have seen here.

This was a sad disappointment for us. Fly infested, the water is a mud puddle. I couldn't make myself get in it. Trash all around. So many beautiful homes here, can't understand why. You can't use the lake!!!

I actually do like coming to this place. But if you are comparing this lake to other lakes, this one is pretty gross (thus, the poor rating). Even though I do have a lot of fun, I could have just as much fun at a cleaner, beautiful lake. But it is close by and it is decently cheap. $2 per person (you can park outside of the park for free). Or if you decide to drive in instead of walk in, it's $10 dollars per vehicle (includes all passengers in the car) They also have rentals there, such as kayaks, etc.

Simply breathtaking view of a turquoise lake surrounded 360 degrees by mountains. Visited in June but there was still some snow on some of the peaks.

We decided to check out this park and lake while we were driving through Utah. Well worth a stop to see the beautiful, calm lake. It was like a ghost town on a Saturday.

Try fishing in the river. Much better option.
