The DUP Museum in Provo has a huge number of pioneer artifacts and history about Provo and its settlement. There's so much stuff there that it's almost overwhelming! Most of the artifacts are labeled, which is great. There is a small store inside, which sells pioneer bonnets and a few other things. I think the volunteers there can help you with family history if you had pioneer ancestors in Provo. Make sure you check the hours of the museum--they're only open a few hours for a few days a week, April through October.

Wonderful to see the history of the pioneers that settled this area. I am not Mormon, but appreciate the history. The volunteer ladies were wonderful.

Much history here and very friendly "daughter" host. As a non-LDS but into ancestry it was great to see antiquities of the 1800s from dolls to wedding dresses and history on silk making to medical and musical instruments. Several beautiful pianos too. Its well-worth a quick visit, just small enough to check out in less than 30 minutes and directly next door to the Pioneer village.

Although it's a great place to browse, it's not obvious whether anything is especially of historical significance. The love for history is certain and those who keep it up are to be acknowledged. It's easy to lose this kind of day to day history.
