It's not closed and it's a really nice walk. Many young folks were jogging on the trail.
I drove to get to the trail, and I'm glad I did. It isn't closed despite what the sign says. When I saw the sign that said the trail was closed, I decided to walk down by the picnic area, which brought me right back to the trail. I was passed by at least 60 joggers and many people on bikes. The highway is so loud that it drowned out the sound of the running water, but it was still a really nice walk. They are still working on a bridge but it's full of people enjoying the trail.

Pretty Falls and a Nice Trail
Lovely little trail and a lovely little waterfall. It was gorgeous, even in the winter, and the water still flows while the area around it is frozen. The hike through the snow isn't too arduous, and the view is very pretty.

    Worth the Diversion
In route from Moab to SLC, we took a brief side trip in Provo to see Bridal Veil Falls. I was beautiful and flowing rapidly. There was a trail to hike with took you to the middle part of the falls, but we were interested in getting wet. There were lots of other smaller falls coming down the cliff as well. We continued our drive up the mountain for 5 more miles to see Sundance. There are multiple restaurants at Sundance, but we were focused on SLC, so we looked around briefly and then continued our journey. The Falls and Sundance were worth the diversion in our trip.

    Great view
We really enjoyed this visit. Great parking, great scenery, good shopping, food, visiting. etc. It was a fun time and I enjoyed my visit. I will go again in the far future perhaps.

    Nature is awesome
My friend group has gone on this same trip to prove for three summers now. We did not make it to bridal veil fall this year, but we did go the first two years. It is so beautiful. There are some nice hikes to do there and great places fo picnics. If you are from arizona like myself, it can be a bit on the chilly side so plan accordingly ( ie. Bring a light jacket). 10/10 would recommend

Bridal Veil Falls is a picturesque falls in the Provo Canyon. It is right off of the road, with easy access parking. There is a bridge to cross over the (also pretty) Provo River. There is a nature/excersize trail at the base of the falls. Beautiful area, and I can't imagine how amazing the falls would be after a rainy year!

Bridal Veil Falls is definitely worth a look, even if only for a quick stop. I parked in the parking lot at the bottom while it was still dark. The falls are illuminated with artificial light overnight, but watching the sunrise through the valley is an incredible sight. The parking lot at the bottom gives you a great view of the falls, the valley, and some of the large snow-capped mountains.

This is a nice roadside stop, almost like a rest area. You can see the falls right from the road, but I recommend stopping for a closer look and stretching your legs. There are two parking areas - one easily marked, right by the road, and one that is actually below the first parking lot and accessed from a turnoff just west of the main one. The lower parking lot was closed when we went, as was the restroom there. This is likely because of the large snow drift that was still blocking the stream at the waterfall. Parking at the upper area, there's a short wooded trail at the east end of the lot, leading down to the lower area. From there you can cross the stream on a bridge and view the falls, and you can also hike along the stream. The hiking path actually appears to connect up to the next park east, so it's set up well for a bit of exercise if you're interested.

This is one of the most beautiful walk/hikes we’ve been on. Flat, paved and easy for kids and wheelchair. The waterfall is approx 1 mile from the first parking area but you can continue up a narrow rocky path above the falls or continue on paved path and make the hike as long or short as you like. We turned back just past the damn and it was about 4.2 miles.
You walk along the river, under a canopy of huge trees that were just beginning to change colors mid September. Bring a picnic, there are several picnic tables near the first parking area, situated near the river under big shade trees.
Suggestion: go early morning before 10 am for the most shade and fewer people.

I've visited Bridal Veil Falls many times but I finally took the time to hike up the steep trail to the base of the second level of falls. It's not a long hike, but you will need to take a break or two along the way to catch your breath. The views of Provo Canyon and the waterfall make it all worthwhile. The following week I hiked to Lost Creek Falls across the canyon which looks down on Bridal Veil Falls and I got some great photos there as well.

We were here in January amidst the snow so this was quite the adventure. Due to the snowy roads there was not much parking. The walk to view the falls had been cleared (somewhat) but it was worth the view to travel this icy path. I'm sure it would have been better in a warmer month.

We drove out to see the falls but the road is closed due to the avalanche. We drive past the falls and then park. We walk a mile to the falls. If you take a left at the bridge you Caen walk along a shaded path. It is worth the walk.
