While it was crowded we had a great time. We rode both the slide and coaster. Wow. We also tried some of the kid activities. There is an extra charge if you don't buy a day pass.

This is our second time coming to the bike park. This time we brought our 7yr old and 11yr old. They loved it. The two green trails are great to have them learn the basics of downhill and the trails get better from there!

Summer experience very different to winter but every bit as good. Mountain biking, disc and regular and put put golf. Hiking and fishing in the beautiful scenery.

The Canyons is the heart of Park City's center encompasses three resorts, Westgate Park City, the SunDial and Grand Summit. Just a short walk is the Silverado and the Hyatt Centric. There are places to eat, places to sit, the ski lift passes window and...More

Took a drive up to just check out the area, just beautiful with a Westgate and Hyatt Hotels. Looked pricey but seems well worth any price. Take a trip up and give it a look.

In terms of resort "villages" Canyons seems a little hit or miss if it's not the ski season, particularly before the summer season opens in mid June. One thing that is a little annoying is that the market that's located near the larger resorts closes...More

This was the first time I had skied Canyons and taken the Gondola over. The ride itself is worth the visit. However, once you get here there are some great runs as well. It is certainly less crowded than Park City and all the homes...More

We visited as a couple to a conference and to ski. Excellent dining around the village with everything close. Good access via the gondola from the lower carpark. Skiing is superb. We look forward to returning!

...but feels like something's missing. Where's the place where families can meet and eat without being at a wine bar?

The village is like many other ski villages...all the same clothing shops with popular name brand and even food. The difference would be the food and slopes. They have an expensive feel to the ambiance if that is what you are looking for and enjoy.

There is a NASTAR on the PC side of the mountain. There are also a series of races throughout the ski season for different ages. Check with the mountain on the schedule.

Small market in the base of the west gate for essentials. 7-11 at the turn to the main road. Smiths, Walmart (its the nicest one I've been too and has a good food section) & Whole Foods a couple of miles away.

There are several shuttles you can get to take you to Westgate. I would ask the concierge there for a recommendation. We have done this. Most of the developments at Canyons have shuttles that will take you into downtown... More
