Opted to do a private tour and Larsen(?spelling ) was our guide. This is one of the best things we have ever done. Learnt and saw so much. He knows all the photo spots . The back country is also beautiful. Worth every cent.

We truly enjoyed our tour of Monument Valley with Navajo Spirit. Visiting in December the visitor numbers were quiet which meant we had our guide to ourselves. The landscape itself was spectacular and it was great to hear so much of the history and stories...More

Larsen shared Navajo culture and stories of his boyhood. We learned so much and saw hidden cave dwellings; even one where births took place. Our guide was very knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. This tour far exceeds what you would gain if...More

Our guide for Monument Valley tour was Larry. He shared his experience and knowledge as a native American who grew up in Monument Valley. We learned a lot. Hearing his story was priceless.

Oh yes. You are not required to get out at the various stops. I have a bad hip and had no problems. You probably go no more than 50 feet from the vehicle and the terrain is relatively flat.
