The hike starts out on a wide dirt, sand and rock path. Once you get to the pass, it is beautiful, and relatively shaded and cool. There is a 10 foot drop at one point. Before the drop, you can bypass it by going to...More

Gorgeous and Fun adventure! No one in your way. Take your own water and food. Easy, flat walking but be prepared for mud and or dust. Cool oasis in the summer.

Just off the highway (about 8 miles over a well packed dirt road) is Wire Pass Trail (dont stop at the first sign for Buckskin Gulch, that's a long hike). Within about 20 minutes this trail goes right into the slot canyon. A cool easy...More

Nice hike to get a feeling of Buckskin Gulch, easy to do with older Kids. Beware of high rock blocking the way (not suitable for smaller kids).

we drove the 40 miles out of town for this hike, and about 5 mile in on the gravel road, we chickened out. The dark clouds caught up with us and it started to rain. There were huge warnings all over that rescue workers cannot...More

First off, if driving from Page Arizona, you might miss the entry point on the left side. It is unmarked and just after a bend on the road. It's a long drive in dirt road and there's a sign that it'll be impassable if there's...More

If you like adventure and can hike this is the place to go. No crowds, no big buses of people pouring in. Peaceful, breath taking views and amazing experience. Visit the slot canyons practically on your own. There are multiple hikes with different destination spots...More

We parked at Wire Pass which gets you into the slot canyon quicker than parking up the gravel road at Buckskin - both entrances take you into the beautiful canyons. They are easy and flat except for one small drop over some rocks which is...More

One of the best hikes we took. Trail is about 15 miles down a dirt road, but worth the drive. Narrow passages, desert wilderness and great scenery. Round trip to Buckskin Gulch is about 4 miles. I would do it again. Just be prepared to...More

This trail starts after an 8 mile off road drive from the highway to the car park down an extremely bumper track. At the car park you have to pay a walking fee of $6 per person and sign in to say where you are...More

We did it in November and there was very little water. Spring is a whole other story. I would check on the weather as the road to Wire Pass could be pretty gnarly if there was rain. It would become slippery. I would... More
