We did a triathlon and the water was great. Bring your kayak of boat and enjoy the day. Bring your other toys and have fun on the land. This is a place I will return to.

Beautiful, clean lake with sandy beaches. Unfortunately this summer when I visited the beach was not as clean as usual -- there was a broken grill that had been left behind, potato chip wrappers, bottle caps, etc. laying on the beach. I don't blame the...More

We have been on Labor Day Weekend several times and will not return. The lake gets so much pressure from boats, PWC, and other that there is no chance to water ski, drive a boat 50 yards without turning, or enjoy still water. The weather...More

We had family in town and took them to the Sand Dunes. We rented ATV's two different times and had a fabulous time and the Guides Chad and Adam are so knowledgeable and funny.

It was a nice break from the heat in the summer to cruise around this lake on a sea doo the staff was very friendly.

We spent nearly a week there and loved every minute. There is a sand and water toy rental place located right there aptly named The Beach that also sells ice cream, drinks, and grill items. The beaches along the Reservoir got crowded so go early...More

We visit Sand Hallow every summer with family. We have a great time. The line to get in is long usually as teens work the gates. Price to get in is very comparable to other lakes in the state. There are wave runner and paddle...More

So, you basically grab a UTV or ATV, take a map and take off. The trails offer something for all experience levels and include sand, slick rock, dunes, and everything in between. 8 hours was just not enough.

The only fee to use Sand Hollow is a $15 per day fee. Kayakers and paddle boarders are at the mercy of waves produced by power boats. There are enough areas around the island that are protected.

No. However, you should have an understanding of boating rules. You also can get a DUI for operating a boat while drinking alcohol. Someone should be a designated driver.
