If you're wanting a sandy beach- this is NOT the place to go, this is more of a pebble beach, but the boat rentals make this place a fun place. The staff is nice as well.

Bear Lake, located in northeastern Utah and southeastern Idaho is a large, beautiful lake that is incredibly clear and seems to be growing in popularity. Located in the small town of Garden City, UT, the State Park offers access to the lake, a small marina...More

Bear Lake is one of those places that you have to see to believe. It's huge, it's nestled around mountains, and it's as blue as the Caribbean. Oh, and it has beaches. This place is quite popular in the summer time, especially July and August...More

I know there are several different parts of lake to go on beaches. We went to the couple of main ones in Garden City and they were just disgusting. You had to walk through this warm, muddy, grassy swampy water to get out to the...More

Bear Lake is known for its beautiful beaches, quaint little shops, crystal blue waters, and of course raspberries. But in the fall it is a different story. With the crowds gone, most of the shops and stores have closed up for the season and the...More

We stayed at KOA Garden city. Lots of shade and activities but wouldn't say beauty. It was very clean and well kept and convenient to the city.

Are there specific places where you can have your dog? We are going to camp for 2 nights in a couple weeks with our dog (Cottonwood campground) and I have read a couple things that have said dogs aren't allowed at certain beaches/areas, but I can't seem to find a clear answer. Thank you!
