It was 3 miles hike to the fall, narrow trail with little sandy. Very easy to walk, just a few climb on the rock. The view of the fall is the reward for hiker. Water was cold in Oct, but very calm. There is flat...More

Beautiful hike and beautiful falls, but of course, heavily traveled. It is a nice easy day trip with a refreshing water fall & pool to relax near for lunch.

It is a 3 mile hike to the falls, but the reward is worth it! The falls is at the end of a canyon walk which is either an "Easy" or "Moderate" hike. There are sections of the hike with rocky slopes and other areas...More

We went to Upper Calf Creek trail and found the climb down into the canyon and back up again quite challenging but worth the effort.

The Calf Creek Falls hike (six miles round trip) isn't particularly taxing and the falls are fabulous. Once at the falls, be sure to take off your shoes, walk on the sandy beach, and wade a bit in the cool (cold?) water.

Entrance located off highway 12. Saw some people parking prior to entering (on shoulders) but we went in and paid the day use fee ($5). Lots of parking inside and on that day there was quite a few cars. Bring a hat, lots of water...More

The walk is a flat 3 miles each way, so can be done in 3-4h. I'd advise to do this in the morning at this time of the year to avoid the afternoon thunderstorms! We saw a lotta people getting trashed who didn't follow this...More

Reasonably easy 3+ mile (total) hike to a cold and loud waterfall. $3(?) parking fee. Trail into the waterfall skirts a wetland area in the canyon. We saw a large blue heron, various other birds, chipmunks, squirrels. The trail is not a continious flat path....More

A very nice hike in & out 3 miles each way. Very pleasant falls at the end of the box canyon. Would of been in the water had the air Temps been warmer...

The hike was more like 4 miles than the 3 they say, but, it was worth it. Don't miss the pictographs along the way!

I believe you can to the trailhead but, the rest is on feet. Bring plenty of waters. It’s a bit of a trek.

There are 14 campsites right there. Looks like you can write, call or email to inquire about the site. Not sure if they take reservations, or if it's first-come, first-serve. Hope this helps! Escalante Field Station PO Box... More
