There was no one in the park when we went, had the plave all to ourselves! It's a lovely wee park with a good selection of trails and horseriding too. We walked the Panorama trail and loved all the rock features. We saw a couple...More

We did a drive thru in the late day as a storm was approaching. We didn't stop. We took pictures and the landscape was beautiful. Sadly we didn't have time to get out but we took pictures.

If you are considering camping or looking for an RV site near Cannonville- bypass the crummy KOA and stay at this lovely park. You won't be wowed like Bryce, but there are wonderful formations and very nice day hiking trails. Also, the magnificent Willis Slot...More

We made this stop between Bryce NP & Capitol Reef. There is no question that the park is scenic but we think we could have better utilized our time by spending more time in the NP. Also the day we went July was burning hot...More

We stopped in for a quick look-see on our way to Bryce and we were glad we did. The ranger was very friendly and helpful. The Visitor Center is well-kept with pertinent information and a small bookstore with some souvenir items. We did a short...More

We had never heard of this state park, but our B&B hosts strongly suggested it. Small, uncrowded, and beautiful. The Angel Palace Trail - avoid this if you have any mobility issues. The nature trail is accessible, and hoodoos! You can see several up close....More

This was a beautiful drive from Bryce Canyon (about 40 minute drive from our home base in Hatch). This is the place to go to get away from the crowds and enjoy a hike among some gorgeous mountains of white with red stripes. The ride...More

For our three day stay near Bryce Canyon, we chose Tropic, Utah. I was unaware that this state park existed, until my wife mentioned that she did not have time to stop and visit this park when she was here about 20 years ago with...More

I really enjoyed hiking at Kodachrome State Park. Absolutely gorgeous views and well-maintained trails. Totally worth it. We did not camp there, went for the day only, but the camground looks good.

A very short paved road is about all you will encounter here without off-roading. Short hikes are pleasant and the scenery quite enjoyable. Mid- May was not too warm but we imagine the summer heat must be intense. Allow a few hours for this attraction...More

I would have to recommend Bryce if you only have time for one of the two parks. The scenery at Bryce is of a unique nature and on a scale that is hard to match. Bryce is also well suited to driving through in that there is... More

Hi, I stayed one night last April. It is a camp - not a motel. Tents and RV's. Electric outlet in public facilities only. Scenery pays for everything.

Hi, I have no idea, we were there only for a few hours, but did not see any dogs. This is a Utah State Park, maybe their website has that info. Leo
