When you walk in to the museum it appears very underwhelming. In this case appearances can be and are very deceiving. Anyone who is going to visit any ruins or cliff dwellings should come here first. Absolutely the best description of the timelines for all...More

If you want to know the history of this area, then this is a must see museum. The displays are very nice and informative. Unless you love rock art, skip the guide they give you - it's confusing. Just wander through and be sure to...More

This is truly a treasure in the middle of nowhere. I am not a history buff and usually begin to yawn shortly after entering a museum, but this one was so impressive! In addition to the artifacts, they had an art exhibit going on with...More

We almost passed this up, but the museum was actually better than the visitor center museum at Monte Verde. Out back of the museum are some Peubloan native American ruins, including a Kiva you an climb down into. There is also some nice sculptures.

We weren't able to make it here before they closed on a Saturday but you can still walk and see the ruins. Also a spectacular sunset as well.

It really depends on your interests. We probably spent an hour and a half, but could have spent twice that if we had carefully read all the displays. GREAT and interesting park.
