This zoo is not the biggest zoo or the one with the best exhibits but it does have lots to offer for the price and it very well cared for all of the animals are in clean natural habitat enclosure.

This zoo is set in a fantastic park with beautiful, natural foliage. Unfortunately this is Texas and these poor animals in the summer months are miserable. Not unlike myself on this grueling hike through the park. They have strategically placed watering fountains and misters, that...More

The Waco Zoo is far better than some of the zoos in bigger cities. I would highly recommend the Waco Zoo over any zoo in Austin or Dallas. The enviroment correlates with the animal on display. The zoo is clean and well maintain. Bring good...More

My wife and I have taken our baby girl here multiple times. We bought a family pass for a year and it has been well worth it. The exhibits are well laid out and easy to see. They also have a lot of shade.

The animals are well cared-for and have a decent habitat. It is a zoo after all, so they are basically in jail. That said, the staff is very dedicated and you can learn a lot from the exhibits. We live in Waco and visit at...More
