Across the street is the street from the courthouse is De Leon Plaza. This is a beautiful plaza complete with a band pavilion, benches, and plenty of shade for a hot day. This is a great place to start before heading for the Victoria Zoo or taking the driving tour of the Victoria Historical District.

We actually came to see the courthouse which was amazing. The park is in the center of the square across the street from the courthouse. Very nice pavillion and event area. Lit up at night with old time gas lighting. Huge oak trees line the park, it's very shady and cool in the hot, Texas area.
