Neat atmosphere with lots of trains to look at and even one train table to play with. The guy working there was friendly and made sure he turned on the trains when people came in. It's free it can't hurt to stop by.

We happened upon this place while geocaching. The friendly attendant gave us a tour and explained some of the history of this area. It's a great little museum to bring children.

A big surprise in a small package. A lot of love went into this collection of various gauges. Very well maintained and various hands on items available. The staff is very knowledgable and willing to answer questions.

Very good collection of model trains. The Cotton Belt Depot is one of the best depots to see. Would love to go there often.

This museum is in the old Cotton Belt Passenger Depot and has several working model railroad layouts as well as a good collection of memorabilia from bygone train days. Worth the stop.

This is a good stop for history buffs. A little off the beaten trail, but is close to the downtown center of Tyler. Use your Garmin because there are a number of one-way streets.

The person inside was very knowledgeable and nice. I loved talking trains with him. The train collection was amazing.

But since they are only open 3 days a week it is hard to give a good review. Especially when the brochures never mention open hours and they were closed on the day we tried to go.
