Decided to take a break from driving and visit the Rose garden in Tyler, Texas. Even though the roses had already bloomed past their peak the gardens were still beautiful. The gardens are free to walk around. I can't wait to go back next year when flowers are at their peak.

The park is free to the public (we did not pay to enter the museum) and a wonderful place to spend an hour. Hundreds of varieties of roses!! We went with our kids (12 and 14) who were not initially excited about it, but they ended up taking lots of pictures and talking about all of their favorites!

We visited the Rose Garden for the first time, despite having heard about it for years. We missed the peak blooms, but it was still gorgeous. And it's free! The highlight for me was actually the shade garden area. I love the layers of plant life, from the big trees to the tiny ferns.

Visited March along with the Caldwell zoo. Arrived and found easy parking.. Entered and the staff was extremely friendly. We had my grandma with us and they got her a wheelchair and helped us with the handicap elevator to reach the bottom floor. The flowers were gorgeous and it had a bunch of really nice photo spots for some nice... More

The garden has always been a favorite stop on our motorhome trips; that came to a crashing halt today. The garden was not crowded, but there were several groups of children and special needs adults attending a nearby theater production. Then, into the garden strolled a gunman, proudly displaying his semi-automatic handgun in demented pursuit of his Constitutional right to... More

We visited this rose garden the week of April 10,2017 but most of the roses had already bloomed and all of the azalea blooms were gone..It was still a very beautiful display of roses and we highly recommend seeing this one.

While it's very pleasant to tour the rose garden on a beautiful, sunny day, you might be disappointed in your photographs. If you are wishing to get a good photographs of the roses and/or people, you'll have better luck on a cloudy or overcast day. Occasionally there are arts and crafts festivals and live musical entertainment in the garden, and... More

We arrived to this place after 5pm and the museum was closed. We still had access to the garden for free. We walked through the gardens, meditated a bit and took pictures. You can get through this garden in 15 minutes.
