On the morning of our trip my wife was very sick and we were unable to attend. Where we were staying we had no phone reception and were unable to contact them to let them know we would be unable to attend. We were charged for our deposit AND the full balance even though they provided no service to us.... More

When I booked, I requested rafting at Santa Elena Canyon, it says on the website that it depends on the water lever. So when we got there they were taking everyone canoeing to Hot springs. We had a wonderful time. All the guides were very friendly and gave us a lot of advice. We didn't need any because our two... More

First off, time of year is important and so is the amount of rain fall the Rio Grande has had. Spring and summer months, you're looking at dry and hot with low water. Fall and winter months, you'll probably have a better time as it's cooled off a bit and hopefully some rain has come in to fill up the... More

My dad and I booked a last minute trip with BBRT. We got the full day Hot Springs canoe trip. Lisa was our guide and was FANTASTIC!!! Unfortunately, there were storms the night before so the river was much higher and faster than normal. The hot springs were underwater so we couldn't enjoy that and we really didn't have to... More

Less than 2 hours of time actually being on the water for what was billed as a full-day tour. Little paddling was required so we covered very little river distance. Seemed like staff was just stalling for time because they knew this trip was so lame. Launched the canoes and within 50 minutes we were already pulling out at 11am... More

We met at bigbenriver tours at 8 am for a awesome half day adventure. It was super easy , and very fun. Half day was perfect for a 10 year old . We stopped for snacks on the Mexico Side . Cheese , apples , crackers , and cookies . What a great touch. We will return .

Early start at 7.45 then an hour's drive across to the other side of Big Bend to go on the Rio Grande. Canoes are big and v stable, and you get a big waterproof bag. On the river, mainly gentle paddling, a few minor rapids, a lunch stop with a guided nature walk if you want. Fantastic views on the... More

First of all BBRT is a great company to raft with (we took the trip in February - plenty of water for a rafting trip). Our guide, Lisa, was a lot of fun and did a nice job working that heavy raft and making sure that we all had a good time. The "snack" break was nice - plenty of... More

Not enough water for White Water rafting so we opted for a canoe trip in Dark Canyon. 45 minute trip to river, during which time the driver provided a lot of information. The river float was nice with a few small rapids. A snack of fruit and cheese was was a break. If there was an opening I would suggest... More
