Should have more recognition

I did not know anything about the Women Air Force Service Pilots. Very informative- I wish I had more time to spend there.

We enjoyed our hour at the National WASP Museum. There's a plethora of information about the short-lived WASP program and its founder Cochran. If you love aviation or WW2 facts, you'll love the visit. The gift shop has several books if you're interested in this ear. It's free, but please drop something in the donation box! They are expanding and... More

I have never met more dedicated people. The way they want to preserve the history of these great American heroes is outstanding. I have been many times to the museum and am always impressed with the exhibits they have for such a small place in a small West Texas town. Talking to the folks there shows just how dedicated they... Was visiting with Granddaughter, and she thought I would enjoy this, being retired Navy. This is really a nice place, kind of small, but tons of History. I read things that I had never heard of, and also things that I had heard of, but didn't really now anything about. The wonderful Women Represented here, is what helps get our Military... More

This museum is a little gem depicting a brief, but very important time in our history. As described, it is in an old hanger and consists primarily of displays (wear your jacket if it's cold outside!). We found their story to be fascinating for what they did and the barriers they broke. Limited hours, be sure to check before stopping.

This is a good place to stop by and visit when you around or travelling to Big Spring. Lots of great stories and historical events about woman aviators and their great service to this country during WW2. Glad that we stopped by and checked this place on our way to Abilene from Big Spring.

The Museum is in an old hangar. Displays are spaced around inside, mostly on posters and photo montages. This is where 80% of WASPS were trained during WW II to ferry military aircraft around. Service biographies of most are shown. Incredibly, they did not get credit for military service until decades later. There is a small gift shop.

Great place to visit. Learn about some great women aviators and their service to our country during war time. Not many of them left.

This museum, just off interstate 20 was most enjoyable. Who knew these women were NOT considered military, or that they paid for their own clothes? We watched a video about the WASP training and were fascinated to note the many forms of footwear worn by these young women as they did their daily calisthenics. For those young folk with no...
