This is a beautiful park with nice campsites and very friendly rangers. The bathrooms are rather dated but are cleaned every morning. Very busy on the weekends with day guests, but very inexpensive place to go tubing down the Guadalupe River.

Very nice facilities. Remember if you are a 50% veteran bring a copy of your letter to get a Texas parks pass. This site has running water, small store at the gate, clean restrooms and plenty of trails and parking.

Since this park is so close to San Antonio, the 7th largest city in the U.S., I was not surprised by the size of the "day use" parking lot. It is a popular spot for tubing, kayaking, and canoeing. They have 12 hiking trails, 6...More

Only minutes from San Antonio, this beautiful park is well maintained and family friendly. Lots of walking/hiking trails and of course the lovely river. Kids and adults enjoy fishing and wading in the limestone riverbed covered by cool clear water.

Texas State Park rules state "Public display or consumption of alcohol is prohibited" ....but I have seen people being discreet.
