Driving the beach is pretty awesome. When you get to the north of the main part of the beach, there is a lot of garbage that washes up on the beach. We always take a garbage bag and pick crap up when we're out there. About 10 miles north is a nude beach cone. Haha then down about another 10... More

You drive to a entrance gate, pay your fee and then drive a beautiful beach along the Gulf of Mexico. Just watch the tides as if you get caught out there during high tide you might have to stay. Shells and dunes and beautiful sand beach is every where, enjoy!

Had a great cruise on the beach. It's great anytime of year, especially when it's not too hot out. Usually not to crowded the farther you go!

Loaded up the truck and spent an afternoon on the beach. Driving on the beach was a new experience for me. I watched a couple other vehicles drive thru the deep sand before I did it. Once on the beach any vehicle can make it as the sand is very hard. Had fun fishing and swimming. Relaxing fun day.

Me and my wife went here to look for shells and do a little walking. The day was going wonderful tell a Texas Redneck in his jacked 4x4 came flying by lost control and damn near hit hit both me and my wife. No respect on the beach for human life speeds are well over the limit people tossing trash... More

Was nice to enjoy the beach and drive with a vehicle. Want to be sure to stay on the path when driving on the beach.

Hands down the most exciting and thrilling activity of our trip. We ventured out on foot after the road ended for a Sunday morning exploration. After seeing so many 4x4 vehicles along the shoreline we decided to try it ourselves. We chose a local company that appeared to be obsessed with keeping all their various outdoor toys spotless (and of... More

You will have to pay 10.00 and enter at beach access 5. The sandy road is well maintained for all types of vehicles for approximately 5 miles. Further north then you are at the mercy of the tides so if you don't have a high clearance 4x4 do not attempt to drive further. A news story aired last week where... More

Came to Corpus Christi with a friend and decided to check out South Padre Island during Spring Break. Very cool to drive my car on the beach. The Spring Break crowd was wild.
