The sand is packed down so that any vehicle can drive on the beach which is nice. At beach access #5, there is no curfew so you can park and camp overnight on the beach. It is only $10 for a day pass, which is...More

If you want to get away from people for a while, this is where to go. Driving north on the beach you can find just that. We enter at the last gate and always go up to mile marker 13 or so. We enjoy just...More

My family drove on the beach 2 days, easier to manage all your beach stuff, and you can only drive on county beaches north of the island at access 5 and 6

We went acess 6 Tuesday an Thursday we didn't have to pay anything. Beach was very clean. We got stuck on Thursday night being that we're not true beach goers. Overall we loved it. Very relaxing

The biggest reason I go to SPI is because you can take your vehicle on the beach. You dont have to pack-mule all your stuff to the water, You can drive for 30-40 miles if you want to get away from everyone else. Love it!
