Ila Loetscher, the "Turtle Lady of South Padre Island", originally formed our organization to save the Kemp's ridley sea turtle in 1977. Now we are a sea turtle hospital with a mission to rehabilitate and release any injured sea turtles, increase awareness concerning their safety and habitat, and assist with conservation efforts for all sea turtle species. We are funded by donations, grants and gift shop proceeds-- For rehabilitated sea turtle and hatchling release text message notifications, please see our website membership page. See you at Sea Turtle, Inc.!

I have visited this center several times over the years, starting when my kids were very little, and it is always worth a visit. Their mission is terrific and their facility keeps getting better. Love the work they do.

Please go see this. They need your donations. I thought the kids would like this and they did but I loved it more. You will learn a lot and all staff is passionate about this place. Make sure you visit, not to be missed.

It was fun for the kids to get to see sea turtles up close and get an educational view point. Price is whatever you want to donate to help the facility. Cheap family fun.
