Ila Loetscher, the "Turtle Lady of South Padre Island", originally formed our organization to save the Kemp's ridley sea turtle in 1977. Now we are a sea turtle hospital with a mission to rehabilitate and release any injured sea turtles, increase awareness concerning their safety and habitat, and assist with conservation efforts for all sea turtle species. We are funded by donations, grants and gift shop proceeds--

This a great place to visit. They do an incredible work with the turtles. We learned a lot about their work and how they help the turtle. It is free, but they ask for donations. My kids loved! Cool place to go!

What a cool place. The opportunity to see different species of sea turtles up close. Turtles that would not have a chance if not for Sea Turtle Inc. Love that you can read about their individual stories as you travel through the center. A must-see!

The work they do here is amazing. The fee to get in is a recommended donation, but so worth it when you learn about what this rescue does for the turtle population.Check out the gift shop too. They have fund souvenirs for all.

We spent 15 minutes here walking around and looking at the turtles. Totally worth the stop. It's certainly not a big place and was pretty crowded when we arrived.

Had a great presentation given by a first timer. Enjoyed the talk. Learned lots of facts. Nice gift shop. Inexpensive, they have a suggested contribution.

It was a great presentation and wonderful to see them doing such good work. We went back more than once and chose to purchase our gifts there as we were so impressed. Interesting, entertaining and inspiring to do more to help the animals and environment.
