Welcome to Wonder World Park, a one-of-a-kind Theme Park, known as the 1st show cave in Texas. Visitors have enjoyed touring the Balcones Fault Line Cave for over 105 years, and now, the park has many other attractions for family fun and entertainment. Enjoy a guided tour and discover the nation's only true example of an earthquake formed cave. Go deep underground and see up close the devastation of a major quake. Exit by the "Stratavator" and ride high into the sky to the Tejas Observation Tower. Be amazed by the Topsy-Turvy World of the Anti-Gravity House where everything is backwards, even water flows up hill! Board the train and splash through the waterfalls of Mystery Mountain on your way to the Texas Wildlife Petting Park. Educational and fun for ALL ages, Wonder World Park Cave and Attractions is just minutes from I-35 in San Marcos between Austin and San Antonio. Gift shops, free picnic grounds, free parking and much more await your visit.

This attraction is geared towards families with young children; but, the cave tour is good for all ages. It's kind of pricey; but, you get 4 attractions. There is a tram ride through an animal exhibit, the cave tour, a 150 foot tower and the anti-gravity house.

We took our 6 year old niece and she had a great time! The tour was lead by a nice young man with lots of knowledge. The cave was fun, a bit slippery but safe. The train ride to see animals was short and sweet. The anti-gravity room was fun all around. Also great gift shop. Their fast food counter... More

2nd visit in after 6 years. Good use of 2-3 hours and a great option for families with young kids. Our tour guide Macy was simply awesome, engaging with the group making the experience 3X more fun and worthwhile. She had to talk really loud in order to ensure that everyone could hear her and I really hope that the... More

My second visit with children. Takes 3 hours. First is the cave tour. This is a dead cave- meaning no stalagmites or cites growing. There is a history to this and the guide will explain all that. Then you are take to the 120 foot tall tower in an elevator. Nice views. Next you are taken to an optical illusion... More

This was a great place! I know many say the Natural Bridge Caverns is better and I have been there and agree, but I thought Wonder Park would be more appropriate to go with a 6-yea-old. This place gave a good introduction to a cave tour. It was a cold day and we did not enjoy the tower much, but... More

It's a great place to hike. You can do a two-hour hike or 4 hours. I did the two-hour hike and then head over to pick us up and bring us back to our cars. We parked at the parking lot on the corner of Hunter and Wonder World Drive by car wash. We had over pickup at the 2-hour... More

Wonder World Park is multi-faceted. There is the cave, the zoo, the observation tower, and the wildlife park. The cave might not be right for very small children. It's a good place to take friends or family from out of town who want a bit of local flavor.

Have been here several times, most recently with my grandson. He loved the cave excursion and then walking through the mirror maze. Finally, there is the train trip through the petting zoo where you can feed peacocks, ostriches, deer and other animals. It is a fun trip. Easy to find. There is a nominal charge. Lots of parking and a... More

For tourists visiting San Marcos looking for a different type of attraction. Not a cave but a deep open area under the ground. Very interesting tour. Most locals have visited here and can give you directions to it. Also animal park and train ride for kids - and adults. Tall tower to look over the entire area of San Marcos.... More
