My 4 yr old really enjoyed all the different species. It's a small, down to earth environment, very nice staff. Only took an hour and the price is very cheap.

A great little animal sanctuary. We were really impressed. It was clean. Didn't smell. We got to pet a lot of animals and watch the staff feed them. I thought the best part was the kids that volunteer there. They were so knowledgeable, very kind and approachable. My kids asked them a ton of questions and they answered them all.... More

Snakes and reptiles are creepy! And there are some little ones and BIG ones. The help working walk around with different animals for patrons to pet. Out the back door is more animals. Funniest thing is watching all the kids pretending to be scared, but reach out to touch. Will definitely go again when out of town family come in.

Staff was very polite & answered the millions of questions my kids had. They were very educated about the animals & over all the place was very clean considering it is full of animals!! They also had young volunteers who very helpful to my family. We will be going back this summer during our Texas vacation.

It is small. Very un-flashy. But great for an interesting couple of hours; and the kids (ages 3, 4 and 6) loved it. Lots of living critters they can see up close and plenty of things to touch as well. Highlight of the trip was getting to watch a care-taker interact with the raccoon while cleaning its habitat.

We were visiting our daughter and had our granddaughter with us. We decided to take her and she loved it. Got to pet all sorts of reptiles and other animals. Got her face painted by a very nice woman with a parrot on her shoulder. While we were there they were planting shrubbery and making it look really nice. Will... More

I went to the Nature Center went with some friends and couples in our late twenties from Houston and Dallas and we had a great time. Our favorite animals were the bobcats and the large porcupine who was conveniently lunching on carrots when we stopped by. It's a unique opportunity to see the often reclusive wildlife of the Southwest up... More

the nature center is small and run by volunteers, but a enjoyable stop. There are lots of snakes, (probably the main attraction) but several other critters. The staff were very excited about the striped skunk, Luke Skywalker, but we didn't see him as he was in his house asleep. The tortuous was walking around the back eating grass. All in... More

I visited the Nature Center with my son today. It's pretty small, but there are lots of cool things to see. Plus, you can't beat the price, I think it cost us $5 together to get in. The animals seem well cared for and the staff were all friendly and seemed to care about the animals. They allowed my son... More
