Breckinridge is the largest park in Richardson and has something for everyone. The first thing to know is that it has multiple access points. Most people enter from Renner Road by the fire station but you can access it from Brand on the East, Northstar(Beck) from the west and Breckinridge Blvd. on the Southside. The park has trails for walking and biking accessible from the Bridge on the Southside and there is a 3.5 mile paved biking walking path that winds through the park. You can add another mile or so if you include the road that circumscribes the soccer fields. Rowett Creek cuts through the southside of the park and includes a small spillway before continuing on through Firewheel Golfcourse. There is a small lake in the center of the park and two containment lakes on either side of Renner Road that can be fished. A gazebo with picnic tables is situated next to the lake which can be reserved for parties through the City of Richardson's Parks and Rec Dept. There are also two sizable Pavilions on the East side (off Brand) that are reservable. Next to the pavilions are two play areas for kids that are well maintained. Finally, there is a excellent baseball field at Renner and Brand that can be reserved for league play. So get out and explore!

Visited for the first time just a few days ago and what a beautiful spot. My friends and I went there for the trail, but I can see the appeal for family picnics.

The park is clean, well-maintained. It has a great play area, as well as enjoyable walking paths. We've never used the pavilions, but we enjoy the rest of the park. It's a little off the beaten path, but worth a visit. Our grandchildren love it!

Huge disappointment as I went to the park today with my dog. Have always loved this park as it was great for bird watching/photography. And has also been very peaceful and relaxing. They have now put in Disk flying in lot C which monopolizes the entire area. There goes all the birds that used to be there. Walking on the designated sidewalks does nothing to keep those disks from flying overhead. What a shame.

This place is amazing! If you take time to explore it.
The park consists of several sections that are connected with each other.
One wild area with unpaved trails is great for birdwatchers. The paved areas are great for cycling. Picnic tables with grills are available through the park.
The city of Richardson has its 4th of July fireworks there and the whole city descends for a warm summer night entertainment.
In spring this park is a photo shoot grounds with abundance of wildflowers.
At dusk the place becomes magical with the sounds of owls and flickers of fireflies.
It is a lovely place to relax and to think resting your eyes on old huge trees.

Park is well manicured. A lot of trails, not many covered so if it is sunny be prepared. Nice pond to walk around or sit and enjoy. Trees for setting up your hammock. Parents not watching their kids and them not knowing biking rules are always a problem.

The park was well kept and contained a lot of good geocaches! The park is well kept and very clean. This is the ideal park for family events and of course geocaching.

This park has running trails that can be frequented by vagrants! We jogged there for many springs but as from last year we just could not get a guy to stop following us. I stopped jogging there and have not returned since. Its a pity because i is such a beautiful park. We watch the 4th July fireworks every year from the lake. The picnic and party areas are well maintained. The creek beds are clean and there are snapping turtles and scores of ducks and ducklings at springtime. Just so picturesque!!!

This is now one of the older suburbs on Dallas and it has matured. This pork shows its maturity, a good resource with a water feature.
