There are great trails to hike and views along highway 170, along the Rio Grande River. This year I hiked the short Hoodoos Trail and Closed Canyon Trail. Both were worth seeing and are rated easy. I love the great views along this stretch of...More

We spent three nights at the Guale 2 campsite and had a great time. The view from the campsite was amazing with beautiful sunrises. The staff at the Sauceda Ranger Station were very friendly and helpful. The Park is very beautiful, remote, and rugged. This...More

We drove through this park in May, when it was already 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I imagine it would be a nicer drive in the Spring or Fall when it would not be as hot. The park is beautiful and has some really spectacular views. There...More

Amazing scenery, lots of places to stop for pictures or a picnic. Mile and miles of winding road. If you like to hike you have so many choices you need to go back often. Take the drive, you will remember it.

Beautiful scenery along the main drive. We had a beautiful campsite on the river. Much prettier park than Big Bend National

We stayed a week. There were 2 couples, each traveling in separate RV's. The star gazing at night is super! There is a laundromat on the premises but a lot of the machines were out of order so we didn't want to use them. There...More
