After a great brunch at Virginia's on the Bay, we decided to take a trip on the Jetty Boat for a Dolphin Watch cruise. Although a small operation, there was a small glass windowed, air-conditioned waiting room, a small gift shop area, and bathroom available for the guests. This is a small boat, with bench seating at the rail that... More

This was a horrible experience! We went to St. Joe's Island to find some shells. We walked a couple of miles and didn't find a single shell. The boat only comes every hour, and for the first few hours, that is only if somebody else wants to come over. So you're trapped on the island if you find nothing there.... More

We took the Sunset Dolphin Tour (4:30pm-5:30pm) for the kids to possibly see some dolphins swimming around the harbor. The captain was funny and he didn't talk the whole trip, which was nice! We saw lots of dolphins and heard a few stories about the lighthouse and some other facts about sunken ships in the area, etc. The other crew... More

The Jetty Boat is the best value for your money anywhere on the island. We stayed over a holiday weekend and the main island beaches were packed, dirty and hectic with cars, motorcycles and campers. We found St. Jo island to be much more the serene beach experience we were looking for, and at $12 each the Jetty Boat was... More

Really enjoyed this tour. Got to see the dolphins and saw a few birds as well. Found the trip cheap, $12 each and the Captain was a lot of fun. You get to see a few places around Port Aransas as well. Well worth the money. They do a trip to St Joe's Island as well which i will do... More

I ran in 5 minutes before the last boat to St. Jo's left at 4:00 and was able to get 4 tickets for my family. The guy at the counter was very nice and let me skip in line to make sure we made it out. The captain was very prompt, didn't say anything really but got us out the... More

This was a very low key tour, but fun and reasonably priced. There was no narration, which was a bit disappointing, although the skipper was more than willing to answer questions. We covered quite a bit of the area during the hour, all within the inland waterway. There were a lot of dolphin encounters, which was really fun. We slowed... More

One of the best hidden treasures while visiting Port "A" is a visit to San Jose Island. The only way to get there is the Jetty Boat which takes you across the channel. The ride is cheap $6 and runs on schedule. It is like public transportation...reliable, on time and no surprises. The result is you get round trip service... More

Simple and efficient--just pay your $12 at the Fisherman's Wharf desk, get your ticket, hop on board, and off you go. You'll see dolphins on the short trip over. We took our dog which was fine (on a leash). They leave right on time (even a few minutes early, so don't be late) and don't waste any time on either... More

St. Jo's is a great place to go and glad the Jetty Boat could take my wife and I there. Low cost and fast. I liked the that they continuously went back and forth so that you didn't feel like you were stuck there.
