Great old bar

This is a great old bar. Operated since 1946. 1000+ old caps suspended from the ceiling, dogs sitting at the bar with owners, open air, and a jute box. Cheap happy hour, and... read more

So much history and character in this little place. Great live music and friendly staff. Beer ice cold! Order the Mickey James from Irish.

What a nice bar. The crow was fun, eclectic and diverse. The drinks were good and the staff was friendly. Not many if these kind left around. Talk about personality!

This place is NOT the place to go if you want fancy drinks, classy atmosphere, or food. This is just a long time standing bar on the waterfront. Dusty hats hang from the ceiling, wooden floors, a few tables and a couple of pool tables. But they are rich in tradition and make you feel at home. There's live music... More

After a day of fishing in the hot sun, this is a great place to cool off and wet your whistle. The bartender with the scar across his nose was nice and funny.

My husband and I travel a lot and love to find local bars and restaurants. We drove around until we found Shortys and were both happy to see the decor with old hats and other interesting things hanging. Really cold beer and the place was crowded. Our opinion was changed when the bartender brought us our change minus $10. My... More

We mourn the recent loss of the former owner. It was always a serious local color bar, where you go to watch a game, play some pool, drink some beer. It is a joint, not a snooty hooty kind of place. But now, something is missing. Not sure what. It seems to still be the same ol' place, comfortable as... More
