I took my daughters for a couple of hours and even though I had to drive over 6 hours round trip it was worth it! The beach was clean, there is a shower and the water was warm, the sand soft. The only thing I...More

Most people use the part of the park with the nice beach. The park extends on both sides of 361. Kayakers, fishermen, and bird watchers use the part of the park on the bay side of 361. However the dirt road has been neglected and...More

Camped for a night on the beach. It was beautiful, but be prepared for wind. There were plenty of birds, so this park would be great for bird watchers. Port Aransas is nearby to grab a bite at Irie's Island Food.

We visited on a Friday at about 10 am and we really enjoyed how nice and clean this beach was. We were able to park fairly close and it was not very crowded at all. Only negative I guess was the $10 it cost us...More

We spent a great day at the beach. You can drive right up to your spot and it wasn't crowded at all. We built sand castles, flew kites, swam and caught fish. Everything was clean and park rangers patrolled regularly. It was a perfect way...More

We decided the week of to go to the coast for the weekend and found out instantly that everything near the water is booked up through out the summer. So we decided on the "primitive" camping for our stay. It was $25 for the night,...More

The bathrooms and showers are closer to the electric campsites before the beach parking. The bathrooms are up stairs and the showers downstairs. This is a closed building and not the same as the beach showers that are simply... More

Yes you can but there are no hook ups-they call it their primitive camping area and you'll see everything from tents to cars to RV's! You can have campfires on the beach, too! Not at the RV park 👍🏻
