Very nice on the outside. I called to find out when they would be open. The young lady said they used to open up and let people look but they haven't done that in quite some time. Apparently they are not planning on opening it again anytime soon because she told me it's just a picture opportunity now.

My son was always fascinated by trains and the foks here deliver during the annual Christmas festivities. His last christmas we went there to see the exhibit, basically a very complex toy train run set up in the depot. He LOVED it and we spent more than an hour watching him enjoy himself. It was truly a wonderful memory and I thank all the train collectors who helped make it a wonderful time.

The railroad depot no longer has model train displays. Instead, it appears to be used for younger children's activities. When we arrived last week, there were children coloring and parents hovering in both rooms. We walked in and immediately walked back out as it was not interesting to us or our children.

Great Renovation of the old Nacogdoches Freight and Passenger Depot. The grounds are also very nice. The inside still lacks completing but if you in town, it is worth a drive-by. If you like photographing trains, the tracks in the rear of the depot are fairly active. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Beautiful old building. Would be nice if the fence wasn't on the side toward the tracks. The best view of the depot is from that side.

Call before you go. We visited on a Wednesday; the depot was scheduled to be open. We arrived only to find it closed. The outside of the depot is beautiful. View it from all sides. The grounds were well-kept. Wished we would have been able to view the inside.

When this is open it is cool to see. My Girls love the model train display they have ever year. They have other things through the year.

Once a year there is a toy train exhibit held at this location. Intimate and great fun for the children. One of the nicest buildings in town.
