ALL VISITS REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT. Please contact the sanctuary for scheduling.

Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing and caring for non-releasable wolves and wolfdogs, providing them with a stable, loving, and exceptional home, with an abundance of loving and compassionate care. We provide all of our animals with regular, balanced, nutritious meals; exceptional veterinary care; safe and comfortable sources of shelter; frequent enrichment; and, when appropriate, human or canine companionship. We do not buy, sell, or breed any animals.

We also support educating the public about issues involving wolves and wolfdogs, and dispelling the many myths that surround these frequently misunderstood animals. Through guided on-site tours, visits from ambassador wolfdogs, off-site presentations, and other outreach avenues, we provide accurate, engaging information about wolves and wolfdogs, conservation issues, and the downsides of exotic pets.

We had company from out of town and went to the wolf sanctuary. Located in a beautiful setting in Montgomery County, this is a place we will visit again. Not only are the animals beautiful, the volunteers are very knowledgeable and ready to share what they know about wolves and wolf dogs. Drew was a great tour guide and we... More

Our friends visited us from Calgary, so, we decided to take them to this place. We had a great time there and learned a lot about wolf. Our friends thanked a lot as we took them a very interesting spot in Montgomery.

I enjoy visiting the Wolf Sanctuary to become connected with life's mysteries in wildlife. The Wolf is so misunderstood by man in general. It is a very spiritual animal and very protective of its PAC. A rescued Wolf can never be put back into the wild so a sanctuary is the only home it can have for the rest of... More

This place really seems to deserve to be called a sanctuary. The wolves and wolfdogs are obviously well cared for, loved, and respected by people that are knowledgeable and passionate about what they are doing. The facility is small, still the tour lasted quite a while. Our tour guide provided lots of information about these majestic animals, including the fascinating... More

This is an amazing initiative by the group. First time in my life, we met a group of wolves. These wolves were rescued from various places all over the country. Only one of them was trained to be in close proximity with humans. We had a chance to pet Tala (name of the wolf). It was amazing. Must visit places... More

Now this was really cool . A fantastic place with a great cause. The regular free tour a while back was wonderful. This Saturday night reservation for howl night was educational and fantastic! This will be a repeat function for me this deserves a five plus rating!!

This tour was one of the highlights of my vacation. We were informed of each wolf's and wolf's dog background, most of them very sad. The place is kept up really nice. There were no bad smells and the wolves all looked beautiful. They even had a wolf ambassador that we all got a chance to pet. I learned a... More

The Sanctuary is a little hard to find but the experience is wonderful for kids and adults. The docents know the history of each wolf and share that information in a easily understood manner. The docents also walk one of the wolfs through the visitors which is very cool. You will also learn that all the animals are not pure... More

We have been there twice. Both times the staff were very informative, kind and caring. These animals have been rescued from people who thought they should have an exotic animal. There is a small gifit shop and you can adopt a wolf. Nice, peaceful setting.

St Francis wolf sanctuary is an absolute most visit. The wolves, the volunteers and staff look after are well cared for and loved. The wolves living there are such beautiful majestic creatures, all with their own stories of hardship and survival. How such creatures are misrepresented and completely misunderstood even today, is hard to understand. The sanctuary relies on funding... More
