Beautiful!

What a nice park. There was lots of wildlife and good walking/biking paths. A nice little visitor's center too - with bathrooms.

The welcome to the park is a bit confusing. First the parking lot is outside the park and the road to the park is blocked! Yes blocked. You are not able to drive into or around the park. This is important to know because your option is to take a tram to your desired stop walk around that spot and... More

Do you like to walk? Bike? Bird watch? Kayak? Tent camp? Fish? Learn about nature? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then this is the state park for you! Walking and biking trails are very level and you complete the 4.5 mile hike without even noticing. The lake is a Resaca and perfect for kayaks. There are... More

My wife I had a great time walking the trails finding geocaches and watching the many birds. I believe this is our 3rd trip to the park and it is fun every time.

You can sit in a swing and watch birds, hike to a tower to watch raptors or take a tram ride for an informative tour. This small park is world renowned by bird enthusiasts but dont be intimidated if you are a neophyte birder or just want to experience nature. This is definitely a must place to visit while in the... Nice place to learn about migratory birds and local birds. Trolley ride is free, however it is not a guided tour just a way to hitch a ride.

This is the best park to see birds. There are a couple bird blinds and a hawk observation deck. There are a number of rangers that will help identify birds for you. You don't have to be a bird watcher to like this park.

Went here for a bike ride with friends. Inexpensive bike rental $5 for 4 hours. They require a deposit of $10 which is returned when you bring the bike back. Paved trails with restrooms along the way.

This was the first park we visited for our birding vacation in the Valley. It was a great introduction to the birds in the area. We saw 4 species that we had not seen before. The volunteer that lead the bird walk was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was initially supposed to last only 2 hours but lasted 3 hours.

If birding is your thing, this is the place! It is one of those designated as a World Birding Center park. Lots of walking trails and places to explore. Bird blinds are really well made and designed. Our favorite blind was the Green Jay Blind, where we saw many Great Kiskadees, Green Jays, Altamira Orioles, Cardinals, Golden-fronted Woodpecker, etc.--and a... More
