The museum was closed in the morning when we were there. Most of the creator has filled in with dirt and silt over time. One needs to be careful of rattlesnakes when exploring the area. Plaques provide an interesting concept of impact and history. It...More

I stopped on a cross country drive and went on a weekday morning. It was only me, the dog and a couple from Texas there that morning. The whole visit took about 40 minutes, including the drive to and from the expressway with a leisurely...More

First off, read! There were other people walking around asking questions and making comments....and if they would just read, they would understand. This place is neat, and informative. It's a cool chunk of history, and a real quick thing to do, it's convenient.

We had no idea this meteor hit was even here until the locals were telling us about it. They should have better advertising. We visited on a Monday and the Museum is closed that day, although we could walk around the area. Couldn't get to...More

As far as I know, the center is open from 1 to 5 on Sundays. However, Google Odessa meteor crater and it should give you the phone number for The Visitor Center to verify.
