The Cita Centre is about a 5 minute walk from Santa Monica Suites. It has many shops and restaurants to browse in the evening. There are few supermarkets including Spar. So if you want a few bits and pieces or a full self catering shop it's the place to go. There are a number of good restaurants to try.

Shopping Center was old and quite boring, because the shops were more or less empty. There were some bars and cafe´s still open and the shops were trying to sell you all kind of oldfashioned clothes. I visited the Place one year ago, and it has now even less to give.

We visited around 9pm on a Sunday evening Lots of Northern European Bars busy with live "Bundesliga" being shown ! Cartoon Characters and City Landmarks adorn the outside however inside there appears to be no character to the inside of the Cita Centre ! restaurants were very quiet, the main large square on the ground floor and adjacent drag show... Like other reviews, this shopping area is very run down and seriously needs some TLC. It is what it is I suppose. The selection of shops is not great although there are a few reasonable places to eat or have coffee. Overall, I had no reason to return during my visit so that tells you something.

A mixture of all when in Cita and certainly a more open minded look into the swinging lifestyle. Many meet and greet bars and many clubs for the swinger generation with no hassle or disrespect which is welcoming. The pubs are friendly and the clubs are interesting indeed. UK should take note.

It is two years since we last went here and, whilst there are still vacant plots, it has got some investment and is improving. The initial impression is poor but once inside there are some good places, and some very good deals to be had with some of the stores.

The Cita is quite run down compared to other parts of Gran Canaria apart from a few hidden gems the centre has been aloud to fall into a tired state and some of the shop keepers follow you along the walkway in what can only be described a desperate way to sell you something any thing they can calling out... The Cita Shopping centre presents as a very run down old fashioned place, it needs a major revamp, the only good bit is the Mauu Coffee Bar on the rooftop terraces.
