Didn’t see the appeal. Not a big fan of sand. Did go the beach but sand was far to hot. If your going make sure to wear plenty of sunscreen even if it looks overcast. I made that mistake first day.

Loved it! Recommend this to everyone who visits the island! If your not staying there then it’s a lovely day out at the beach with camels and lots of bars and shops etc

We stayed in Puerto Rico and we went for a day trip to tje dunes and maspalamos, nice place to spend a few hours and have a walk around. Was hot but a nice breeze. Def worthy of a visit if you around

Very beautiful to walk around and the views were fantastic. Leaving footprints in the dunes and running up and down them was great fun... to remember..

You can get views of the dunes from a concrete path that runs along the edge (its the Paseo Costa Canaria, you'd want the section from the Riu Palace Maspalomas towards Playa del Ingles). But on the dunes themselves its... More

The start of the Maspalomas Dunes is about a 20 minute walk from the shops. There are footpaths across the dunes. It takes about an hour to walk across the length of them.
