- Joseph WLiverpool, United Kingdom11 contributionsHad a wonderful day! This is the best theme park I have ever been to. All of the rides are brilliant and I loved the Hurakan Condor the most. Some other good shouts are the Tutuki Splash and Stampida. Food is very expensive but other than that it is a great day out in Salou.Visited October 2022Written 18 December 2022
- BendyB484 contributionsBest Theme Park Ever!!!!!Had 4 day access in the park (Couldn't make it on the last day) Got on 36 Rides In 2 and a half days (had an hour on the arrival day). Queue times were not very long at all and weather was top notch! Shambhala is the best ride ever - do not miss. Do not miss Hurakan Condor either. Furius Baco is good too, Dragon Khan is alright but give Stampida a miss as it's an absolute boneshaker. Stayed in the hotel and had lovely views from the balcony. Wish I could return again soon.Visited January 2023Written 14 January 2023
- Jessica SWolverhampton, United Kingdom100 contributionsAwesome theme ParkThis place is seriously the best theme park I've ever been to. Wow, wow, wow!! The zones are amaaaaazing and are setup so beautifully with lush tropical trees and plantation. The rides are fantastic from very young to all ages, our 2 year old absolutely loved Sesame Adventure and she was tall enough to go on 4 fantastic rides and absolutely loved the big soft play playground... we really would have liked her to go on several more in the China area however we also watched some brilliant entertainment! The Easter bunny show with singer and dancers was fantastic! And so was the meet and greet Shrek performance. What makes this park unique and so attractive are these added performances and they will keep us coming back. Next time we visit Salou, hopefully next year - we would love to visit in the summer months and see the Carnival and the Fireworks display, would 100% recommend and come back .... my only critique would be please have more signage for toilets! And would have been useful to have more drinks huts open around the park, overall 10/10Visited April 2023Written 14 April 2023
- MisJudge64 contributionsWe really enjoyed our dayWe went with a 3 year old and had a very enjoyable day. The numbers were obviously not as high as peak summer so this was a huge bonus. There was a 30min wait for the two big rollercoasters and maybe 5 mins for everything else. We found a lot to do and lots of rides for our little one, who is just under a metre tall and this exempted her from most things. Still, there were about 10 rides she could go on, 2 big play centre/climbing rigs so she had a ball. We were there from 11am to 6pm and we missed out on quite a lot because we hadn't time. We brought a packed lunch so can't comment on the food. We got a taxi to and from cambrils park and it was €25 each way. There was a taxi waiting outside porteventura thankfully because we had nothing ordered. We had a memorable and great day.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 May 2023
- Nick RLeeds, United Kingdom3 contributionsHorrible Cue jumpersWent here May22 2023. Was looking forwards to the thrill of the rides, unfortunately to many Spanish children aloud to jump the cues. Large groups would just push in from because there friends were there. People smoking in the cues when it was clearly marked no smoking and the ridiculous cueing system was utter rubbish. Absolutely no organisation. Signs saying 20 minutes wait were an hour long wait. Some took 2 hours to get on. Park opened at 10am and closed at 6pm which is again ridiculous. Managed to get discounted tickets from Aldi in Salou. This saved us almost €100. So check that out first. would be much better without the school trips and even the teachers allowing cue jumping. Shambles.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 23 May 2023

And some r Abit slow and they can't get on them as there to small. It don't make senseVisited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 25 May 2023
- svman1000Weymouth, United Kingdom53 contributionsVery good theme parkBought a three day ticket to all three parks. It was very busy when we went as all the local school children had gone there for an end of year treat. Very manic and noisy. Still over the three days we managed to get on all the rides we wanted to. Some of the rollercoasters are great and some are pretty rough and bash you about a bit. Ok, if you're young, but not us middle age folk. Food in the park is your usual stuff and quite expensive for what it is. Ferrari land isn't great though, unless you really love the brand. Only one good ride there as far as I'm concerned. The water park next door is good. Plenty of space and sun loungers. Rides are good too. A must do, if you visit Salou.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 9 June 2023
- Flavia SBrunnen, Switzerland29 contributionsGreat fun for all ages!We came in 2019 - prior to the pandemics - and came back now. It was a very good surprise to see that the customer service mindset of the park has improved dramatically and every employee is attentive and friendly. Rides and infrastructure is very well maintained, it is a great option for all ages and we had a lot of fun!Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 10 June 2023
- juicyfruit8London, United Kingdom19 contributionsJust visit during the evening!!If visiting during summer I would suggest saving money by buying an evening ticket which allows access from 6pm i believe. When we went for the whole day the park was so busy it was over an hour wait for all rides and the queues get very boring which takes away from the experience of the actual ride when you finally get to it. We stayed from 11am until 11pm and after 7pm the park was basically empty! The waits for the rides that had previously been 2 hours (dragon khan & shambhala) were about 10 minutes which was basically just walk straight on. We managed to do all the big rides and a few others in a couple of hours! Definitely don’t bother coming during the day- the evening is less busy and there’s more shows and entertainmentVisited June 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 June 2023
- adventurechanExeter, United Kingdom31 contributionsAdventure for everyoneA great theme park for all ages. I love how it is all set up as mini worlds such as China, Polynesia, The Wild West, The Mediterranean, Mexico and even seasame street. They were all decorated so well and felt like you had been transported to that country. I went with my partner and we loved the rollercoasters. Dragon Khan was amazing. Thrill seekers will be in their element. I would recommend avoiding visiting on the weekend due to how busy it can be. The longest we queued for a ride was 1hour but it did seem to get worse throughout the day. There are a few restaurants and vendors throughout the park.Visited June 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 June 2023

i am currently in salou for a trip with my family and the “dia de los muertos” theme is on. in the evening time until closing the park has live actors who jump and scare you, it’s torture especially with young children and people who jump easily, would not recommend if you are easily scared or have kids who will get scared. other than that the park is amazing and i would definitely recommend it other than the halloween theme

Unfortunately the queues were crazy for all the bigger rides, and some of the small ones too! Definitely not worth the money - it is french school holidays but not spanish so next week will presumably be worse. Unfortunately a long day of queues with very few rides.

Probably have one of the world's worst customer service. Lost property on my visit. I was able to trace the item and told them where it was exactly. They took me round and round with lies and eventually stopped answering my emails. I was never reunited with my lost property.

This is an amazing fun park. We had the best time, no queues nd so many rides we didn't have time to go back and do any of them twice. If you are in the area for longer than a day I would get a 2 day pass. We had so much fun, all the rides were excellent.

Do not visit this theme park, it has 2 rides worth queuing for and even then you’ll be standing in line for an hour or two per ride, save your money and spend it better elsewhere.

Had a 3 day ticket to Portaventura and 1 day pass to Farrari land visited 3rd,4th,5th of October 2023 easy access to the park everything seemed to be OK at first until me and my partner went to the back of the park to ride Shambala, I tried the test seat and it clicked queued for about 20 minutes to board the ride, put our bags in the holding area and proceeded to sit in allocated seat the ride operator closed my partners safety restrain and when it come to mine they had issues I told them to push and he was so rude about it and told me to get off. My partner was all ready strapped in and wanted to get off as he thought it was unfair but to late they dispatched the ride and I went back to get back my bags and got told to get out and I was too big for the ride, me and another girl were both spoken to rudely. There were so many other rides I was rudely turned away from you cannot help the way you are built I have been coming to Portaventura world for years and I have been left mortified and embarrassed. The worst one to top of it of Was Red force in ferrari land the reason for our visit Queded for over 3 hours because the ride kept breaking down with no explanation. With only one train operating. Got to our turn put bags away and proceeded to bored the train my partner got strapped in and when it got to mine it was an issue the ride operator tried strapping me in also tried switching our seats but no luck didn't offer any other row. They were so rude and made me a laughing stock I came off in tears. The lack of test seats is a big issue in this parks do not think of their bigger built customers. I have had a response from the park, basically saying there are safety measure in place which I understand with and I will pass over feed back and a message we hope see you again soon.why would I want to visit a park that has fat shamed me I am not the biggest person in the world. One positive not all the staff were rude I would like to say thank-you to the two ladies that were working on the twin towers at ferrari land on the 4th of October I told them what happened the first operator was unsure if I would fit on the ride so asked her colleague who gave me a thumbs up they are both a real asset to your company and know how to treat customers and not disrespect them regardless of size so cheery and happy excellent customer service skills that the others need to learn also the Halloween parade was amazing. no offer of a refund spent a lot of money at this park what a waste of money and time and what a Joke. memories from hell I have been left with!!!!!!! From an angry upset customer 😠 😡

PortAventura has the potential to be one of the best theme parks in the World. There are many, many positives and indeed, some areas for improvement.
The positives first. The theming of the Wild West, Sesame Street area and Polynesia are outstanding. A truly immersive experience and on par in many ways with the big Disney parks. Other positives: the coasters. Dragon Khan still holds up as one of the best coasters in the World. A true B&M classic. It could do with more theming, especially in the queue area, but overall a great ride. The new addition of Uncharted is a MUCH needed dark ride in the park. Stampida still holds up and has a nostalgia that makes it a pleasure to ride. You have to expect a rickety ride on an older wooden coaster and that is one of the many positives about it. Finally, Angkor. A fantastic ride with beautiful theming. A great family experience.
Onto the main areas of improvement. Firstly, staffing. It does feel a little understaffed in certain areas and at times operations can be a little slow. There's no excuse for running one train on the big 2 coasters in China. On that topic, the theming in China (except the splashdown zone) feels a little lackluster. The area is great but could do with another flat / dark ride and more investment in theming. Also, certain rides, which are great, have been left a little to deteriorate. The Tutiki Splash is excellent (especially at night with real bats!) but needs a lick of paint. Bring back the red bubbling volcano! Please PortAventuta!
All in all, an amazing theme park. It would be interesting to see if Universal enter the equation again as I feel they could bring that little TLC and update that would bring PortAventura up to the big leagues of theme parks around the World.

Visited here with my wife and teenage son in October... Don't waste a day visiting here, long queues for all rides unless you pay the €40/€50 for fast pass tickets on top of the €60 admittance fee per person.. food prices in park are complete ripped off.
Don't bother visiting here!! Use your hard earned money on something else on your holidays!!

You should have a ticket with a bar code on it for entrance to the park.
I would check with the holiday booking.

Is the park open in February? The 2024 tickets aren't available yet and online says its open all year round, but is it seasonal? Will the park be open in February 2024 and the tickets just aren't released yet?

The park was open in Feb 2023 for the first time. Not sure if they intend to do the same for 2024. They normally open in April. That is what I have heard.

Looking at going to Salou July 2024. Wanting to check how much there is to do for a 4 and 6 year old. Do we need express pass for the rides they can go on or are the queues quite short? Would one day be enough and if we get the 2 parks tickets can we come back into portaventura in the evening to see the parade?

The Sesamo area is great for young kids and street mission, the Grand Canyon rapids, all the shows. You can go back in the evening for the parade and lake show with fireworks. You definitely need 2 days wandering round Portaventura. There is a board which shows waiting times but the Sesamo area isn’t usually that busy. It said Tuesday was the least busiest day but it was the busiest when we went and Friday the quietest. Ferrari land opened at 2pm when we were there and busy at that time with queues we went back in the evening as opens until 10pm and it was quieter. Not sure what the age is for the 2 inside simulators but only a couple of outside rides or go carts suitable for youngsters. They will love Portaventura. We didn’t bother with Express. Have fun!
Hi all, portaventura have not opened bookings for summer 2024 yet and would like to get price idea. I've seen an airline that has a week stay all inclusive for 4k. Just wondering is it cheaper to book via portaventra. Or is that a good deal.
Thanks 😊

Thats not bad for a family of four at the Port Aventura Hotel. I would advise that you book it if it is cancellable, check the prices when they are released and cancel and rebook as necessary. That is what we do when booking holidays.

Like others said you can do both parks on a day. You could do Ferrari Land in the morning and the main park later in the afternoon. You can go wherever whenever you want.

You can visit the parks in any order. We did caribe first on day 1. If you’re planning to visit during peak summer save your money, we had 2hr plus queue times and it was a waste. We didn’t even use day 3 and cut our losses.
