Located on the Costa del Sol, has proven itself as being one of the top marinas in the world. With many restaurants, shopping, attractions and nightlife. It has won the award "Best Marina in the World' several times. The Marina of Benalmadena officially opened in 1979, with the name "Port au Prince" but in1982 was named Puerto Marina Benalmadena. The thing that really stands out about the marina is its unique architecture/design, which has lead to its international recognition especially with our European tourists.

Puerto Marina has a huge capacity to moor boats and yachts, with just over 1,000 moorings for boats from many different nationalities.  'Puerto Marina' is one of the Costa del Sol's busiest centres. There are loads of different shops including the shopping centre. On top of it all there is a large choice of quality restaurants. You are spoiled for choice. Fancy a drink or a dance? Or how about hitting a nightclub or pub? With well over 20 establishments, you will have difficultly to decide. Puerto Marina Benalmadena entails a big chunk of the town of Benalmadena and is a true touristic destination. There is also the  Harbour Master, hotels, and the beautiful promenade that leads to Puerto Marina Benalmadena Yacht Club. Plus, residential areas of luxury and an aquarium among other activities making it a destination for leisure tourism for the Med and it's beaches!!

Lovely place to sit and have a drink and a bite to eat. The casabianca is a nice little bar where you can sit and watch the world go by they also serve a light lunch

..but possibly not much else? Has restaurants and drinking establishments but these tend to be more expensive than those a short walk away along the promenade. Shops seem to have gone downhill a bit since last visit. However it has interesting architecture and boats in the harbour. Areas are also uncover which was helpful on a rainy November day!

Busy marine with lots of shops and restaurants. As with most marinas eating and drinking can be pricey so look round for something to fit your pocket. Shopping is under cover and goes from souvenir shops to little boutiques. The whole promenade is an easy walk and there are plenty of places to eat or just enjoy a coffee along... More

We've visited Benalmadena quite a number of times and a visit to the Marina never disappoints, whether you just want to sit and have a coffee and watch the world go by or do some window shopping, it is always somewhere where you can spend a nice few hours.

My husband and I drove to Benalmadena one afternoon during our visit to Marbella not knowing what to expect and we were just amazed at how beautiful it was. It was our first time here but beyond our imagination. The view of the harbor is breathtaking! Here you will find many harbor-cruises that take you around. We went on one... More

Loads to explore. A tourist trap. Very overpriced poor restaurants. Go a few minutes walk to better eating houses. A lovely walk to be had around the large port. Lots of different boats to go out for an hour or more quite reasonable prices. Also deep sea fishing. It has a large indoor aquarium. Lots of shops to buy presents... More

Our first day in Benalmadena we walked along the beach front to the marina, it was a lovely walk even though the weather wasn't great. Lovely little shops and restaurants around, we didn't stop for food as the restaurants are alot more expensive than a bit further into Benalmadena. We did however stop for coffee. Lovely walking around, taking pictures.... More
