Finally succeeded to visit Corvey as part of us exploring Weserrenaissance architecture. We were not disappointed. The church interior was quite interesting and so was the rooms allocated to the library.

There's a 2 euro fee for the parking lot and a small fee (can't recall the amount) for entering the church. There's a restaurant immediately to the right when entering through the gates. The church is to the right and then left when entering. There's...More

We visited Corvey Abbey this morning and stayed for about two hours. It has a fascinating history and the building is magnificent, particularly the chapel with all the angels adorning it. The 75000 volumes go Hoffman books was amazing to see.

Corvey was not really on our list of things to visit when we toured the central part of Germany. We kind of stumbled over it, and were in awe about the monastry and baroque church. The history of the place is impressive. Nearby Hoexter is...More

Nothing special... Unpleasant personnel. How did they get the Unesco title remains a question. Much better places around.

This is a remarkable site, worthy of its UNESCO designation....visit it by bicycle, along the beautiful Weser bike path...founded in the 9th century, it is a rare jewel in a beautiful natural environment.
