This mosaic of different destinations offers a multitude of different ambiances and atmospheres that also reflect the changing architectural styles of winter sports resorts since 1961. Most of La Plagne’s villages were designed by architect Michel Bezançon.La Plagne is part of the Paradiski area and therefore is one of the large ski resorts and is also a family-friendly resort with adapted package offers.

Belle Plagne is the best - Same resort for last 8 years

At our age (early seventies) Belle Plagne is perfect. After 8 consecutive years we have no need for a piste plan! Lots of blue runs from Bellecote. Arpette is good to start - with... read more

At our age (early seventies) Belle Plagne is perfect. After 8 consecutive years we have no need for a piste plan! Lots of blue runs from Bellecote. Arpette is good to start - with a variety of blues, Les Blanchets with access to the snow park, Collosses for going to Plagne Centre/1800 etc. From Roche de Mio take the long... More

La plagne is linked to Les Arc by the Vanoise Express 'double decker' cable car . This creates a huge ski area with masses of on piste skiing and huge potential off piste (with a guide and avalanche equipment a must!) and some tree skiing lower down but be careful not get caught in the valleys and depressions or a... We loved the resort with numerous modern ski lifts to a good range of routes & difficulty with access to the whole Paradiski area. The routes were prepared nightly to ensure the ideal skiing conditions. Numerous snow cannons could be seen but thankfully were not needed.

All the time we were there we could not understand why it wasn't busier. After skiing in other places in Europe we felt this was as good as anyway else. Options of ski-in/out. Good for families. perhaps during half term this place is packed though mid-january is was great. Didn't appear to have much apres on the mountain like St.Anton... More

The place has many level os rides, for amateurs to professionals. Lots of lifts and possobilites. There are no big lanes to get on lifts.

Stayed in belle plagne which was a great place both for skiing and relaxing. There is enough apres ski but was a bit tame. Most of our skiing was done over in les arc which was really good. It was nice to have the option to ski both. La plagne was better suited to family's but I will book les... More

Very family orientated. Our first time here so had to learn resort. Problem is that when there is avalanche danger or high wind you a re very much restricted to the bowl and the lower ski areas. However, that said, when you can get ove the tops then there are all sorts of love runs to other places. A family... More

You can find a lot opportunity on the slopes, there are a lot blue and red slopes. Secure, well established long runs. We did not wait long on the lifts. It has a very good connection system for such large area. We used almost all opportunities for skiing on different slopes. Liked very much and enjoyed. Thanks,
