early Jan2017. The piste management, considering the lack of natural snow, was good. plenty here for all levels. with more snow the off-piste can be fantastic (based on previous trips). most skiing above the tree line though - so not always the prettiest

Avoid French holidays and UK half-terms, as you'll wait in lift lines for quite a while. Restaurants are expensive but food is generally okay.

25 years skiing and I still rate La Plagne as one of the best. Caters for all levels of skier and and after a few days on beginners slopes most can ski almost anywhere in the resort on no more than a blue. ideal for families

Simply something for everyone. All levels of skiing and easy access. Weather can be a problem, it can get windy and close some lifts down. However, you can always ski over to other resorts.

Had a great 5 nights stay in Chalet Gemeaux through Alpine Elements. The Chalet staff were excellent, very enthusiastic and welcoming, the food was very good and very plentiful. The organisation, including transfer, ski passes and ski hire very efficient. The Chalet was excellent value, rooms on the small side but warm and clean and there is a nice lounge... More

Great ski for family. Lots of variety of slopes for all levels. They have been working hard to maintain the little snow that they've had so far this season. Loads of snow cannons been working well. The snow is now falling and it's heavy. I hope it continues!!

There is a very wide choice of where to stay in La Plagne as there are lots of different satellite villages. The skiing is very extensive as it is linked to Les Arcs by the Vanoise Express. We stayed in Belle Plagne which has its own commercial centre. There is a wide choice of apartments (most of which are on... More

Get the Paradiski pass. it enables you to access a lot more runs, meaning you can travel much further in a day.
