I have visited several Plaza Mayors in Spain and this one is one of the most beautiful, surrounded by old buildings with green painted widows. The highlight is the Corral de las Comedias, an old open theatre built in 1628.

We drove to Almagro straight from Madrid Airport. Almagro is a lovely little town with lots of nice photo opportunities. It was Monday night, so everything was deserted except some souvenir shops. One of them was exceptionally well stocked with great stuff.
