To be fair it was cool and raining but...

Nearly 30 stairs up and down poorly lit.

Incredibly noisy. High prices for the fish.

I chose a snapper from the viitrine betifullyy cooked but it disappeared for 10 minutes to be filleted and was then cold.

Waited forever fir our wine and then they only bought one glass.

Seriously understaffed. Barbara did well and Matina tried but...

We l cannot recommend it. Try Labros!

i live in Athens and unfortunately all around Athens the last year building works and noise could be compared to violence when it comes to seat at the beach and hoping to relax and swim in clear water . Today we went to Akti beach and paid the 10 euro fees per person ( 23 /10/2023 ) . the rude employee didnt mention to us that the sea was extremly durty full of plastic and excrement floating onto the surface .
A total shocking experience !!!!!
Akti is a closed bay with a marina and boats and when the wind goes toward the beach direction - the probability to swim among sewage is very high .
This is our 3rd time and never again !
The employee didnt give us our money back no she wanted to hear about our complaint.
Do not be fool by the website.
If the water quality was controlled today that beach would be closed but as we know there is no water quality control in Greece !!!!

30 mins southwest of Athens by cab (about 40€.
15€ per person on a Saturday but I’m sure it’s cheaper during the week, it just happened to be the only day we could get there on our trip. Absolutely packed full of people but not crowded. We had to walk around a bit (10mins) to find people who were packing up and asked if we could take their spot. Once your set and comfortable you just get up and walk down to the water. Nobody came near our stuff and everybody uses the honor system to go swimming with their partner. In other words we had no issues. The beer was 2€ per can and it was cold and easily accessible by 2 min walk in either direction. Would highly recommend this spot for families as well because there is a huge inflatable water castle in the swimming area but not too close to the sand as to bother the childless patrons. Go and enjoy a stunning view of the Mediterranean!

We went to this beach because the other one we wanted to go to was closed. We were not disappointed! The beach has pebbles at the waterfront and for about 4-5 feet into the water, but then it’s beautiful smooth white sand. Water is a bit chilly as you go in but you get used to it very fast. Beautiful blue water. It was $15 euro each to go in but it was a Saturday at the busy time. We had to search for an umbrella and chairs which you have to lurk someone who is leaving to get one. I asked a couple with a few kids if we could have their chairs and they let me put my stuff down on the chair as they packed up so it was claimed as mine. Beer and cosmopolitans were cheap. They off set the price of alcohol because there is a cover to get in, so fantastically priced. There is a huge inflatable floating water castle and slides for kids but you have to swim to get there. I would definitely go back here when we come back. Great place to get some rays and swim in the Mediterranean.

The beach is nice, however I’m strongly against the privatization of beaches as I feel it’s just a way to explore people. Even if you just want to go take a walk you have to pay. I felt that on the bar they should have more hot meals made to order as the sandwiches were pretty bad. Go very early to get a nice place or any place at all really, crystal water and no trash or rubbish on the sand or sea but a pretty simple beach beauty-wise, overall pretty good experience

Until last month we hadn't been back to Vouliagmeni since Covid and had been going every year to visit family. We can walk to the town beach so our apt location is ideal but they have really changed everything as it relates to the beach. It's now 10 euro/day, 15 on weekends to get in to the 'public beach'. They have privatized half of the beach area with upper scale amenities for 65 euro/day which you have to reserve online in advance. What we observed every day was that everyone piled into the cheaper section, and never saw more that two or three people using the reserved seats. As a result we had to get to the beach before 10 am (9 on weekends) to get a decent seat. This was only June so I can only imagine the summer will be like. I suspect they will have to modify this plan as it doesn't appear to be yielding the right results. Who knows, maybe when the European tourists come in July/August, they may pay that much, but I doubt it because you can get a better deal on the Islands. I hope this helps save some of you some aggravation and money.

What an experience! If you are in Athens for a few days and want to see the sea, we strongly recommend this beautiful beach. On vacations, we strive for sustainable travel - we take only buses (public buses and tour buses) and trains, no taxis. This beach is accessible by public transit, maybe 45 minutes or so from central Athens, and a lovely place to spend the day. The small use fee is totally worth it - get there early for the nice fixed beach chairs and umbrellas, and there are portable ones around the grounds you can move around too. Lovely places for kids, too. Such a fun day, water was beautiful and everything was delightfully clean and well cared for.

Completely outrageous that to just access the beach you have to pay 10Euros - even out of season, end of October. We just wanted to walk along the seafront but the whole sandy section is privatised.
