I agree with the reviews that say, it is a lovely, but simple cathedral. Yes, there black Christ, but I was surprised s d e cited to see the the 30 or so beautiful stained glass windows almost at ceiling height. The biblical history, New Testiment, are exceptional. People are constant prayers, so it is a living institution in this very impoverished town.…

The Catedral is the heart of this small, round island in the middle of the lake. Houses are painted in strong, vibrant colors. There are small restaurants, hotels and hostels catering to young budget travellers. There is not too much to be seen, nor especially nice places to hang around, so a short visit is all that is needed. Choose a hotel in the jungle like the Las Lagunas Hotel.…

Nicely situated atop the hill, the stained glass windows are of really unusual beauty and quality, more like one might expect in a big city. While statutes of various saints were Spanish in appearance, a very dark Jeśus made for an interesting statement. The church had a nice feel, even for non-believers. …

Catedral de Flores is a beautiful Cathedral overlooking the colorful town on Isla de Flores. The cathedral was closed when we went by but we were still able to capture some beautiful pictures of the cathedral and it's colonial architecture. It's definitley worth going to and if you get inside there is the Black Christ by the altar.…
