A great little highlight of Downtown McKinney. Grab a sample of an interestingly-flavored popcorn and shop barrels of current and old-time candy favorites.

My grand daughters love this store and spend at least an hour agonizing over candy choices. Reminiscent of those old penny stores of my youth. At age 13 the girls love this store. Never miss it when in town with the girls. Younger children will need supervision.

This business contributes to the community as well. The staff is very friendly. My experience is to sample before you buy. My fav is the McKinney flavor.

I highly recommend the McKinney style popcorn (jalepeño and caramel) or the caramel. The caramel is light and fluffy, the caramel is soft and sweet, but more of a moderate to mildly sweet. The jalepeño has a definite jalepeño flavor, but no burn. It's just fantastic.

The staff of the shop doesn't like kids in the store. They offer a special deal, and then change the terms when you get to the store. We wanted to buy 25 $5 gift cards for gifts to our church, they said NO, "$25 minimum on gift cards". I'm buying $125 worth of gift cards! No, they have to be... More

The Saturday after Black Friday was truly devoted to spending some time in downtown McKinney for their “Home for the Holidays” event! Mom & Popcorn was one of the many places we stopped at! Om: We’ve been here so many times before – it’s a throwback candy store that sells candy from a time long past, where a lot of... More
