Rustic but well maintained. As all who visit or live in South Texas know, summers here are very hot. The trails here are mostly shaded and the scenery is quite pretty. They offer different family oriented activities.

A little oasis in the city that is home to a variety of native birds and migratory birds. They have a lot of nature activities for kids. Great place for the whole family.

Besides being a World Birding Site, Quinta Mazatlan is a city-owned facility with an interesting history (tours available), extensive grounds, and many bronze wildlife sculptures. Well worth a visit. Inexpensive entrance and tour fee; free coffee!
