Don't over complicate it. This float is likely one of the cheapest options. The river is the same. The drop off/pick ups are the same. Good experience here.

I had a great time floating the river. The cypress trees and their roots along the sides of the San Marcos river are spectacular.

This was our second time using Don't Fish Camp to park, rent innertubes, and take the bus to upstream to float down. Easy experience and the quality of the tubes was great (had a back from neck support).More

There are dogs allowed on the river and I don't think they have a problem with them at the camp. If you want to confirm, their phone number is (512) 357-1285. Have fun!!
