Just beautiful

Wonderful views and great amenities. We had a great time in the forest and at the lake. Love getting away from it all and enjoying nature.

The southwest corner of the lake is quite remote but holds the Caney Creek Recreation Area. There is a very nice boat ramp there and ample parking. This is really the end of the road!

There are a ton of places to go to enjoy the forest. Plenty of winding high ways that take your through towering trees and really let you experience its beauty. I highly recommend traveling to some of the camp grounds/stop areas and hiking around. It's gorgeous!

We were fortunate to see four deer. We sat at the river for a long time, just listening to its sound, as well as the sounds of the forest. It was... More

We live in South Austin with hardly any tall trees. Our family just loved the trees and the green stuff everywhere!
