a great state park

new area for campers, FHU, very unusual for any state park. Hope they get around to making all the campsites complete hookups.

the park was nice. pin oak loop needs work. pads are not level, compared to other loops where there is grass and paved pads. would have had a nice time had it not been for the love bugs . could not enjoy lake it was covered with them.

Thanks for staying with us at Lake Livingston State Park. Unfortunately the love bug is an area wide issue that we do not have solutions for. They are usually out about a month and then it may be another year before they become an issue once again. I'm glad that you noticed our newly renovated sites that recently opened in... More

We payed extra to be able to choose our site and got one right on the lake. We are Texas state park members and always camp at state parks. This park is very clean and has some of the best hiking trails of all we have camped at. The park staff were very helpful and answered any questions we had.... More

Very clean bathrooms and park Rangers so helpful. My husband and I visited in March 2017. Weekends kinda busy , best time to camp and relax is during the week. Lots are clean and well kept up. Great place to take your family. Livingston full of friendly people.

This state park has a lot of amenities. Outdoor pool for those squeamish about swimming a lakes (whats wrong with kids these days?) The lake itself is fine to swim in and fish in. Boating sports like skiing are going to be more limited due to the large number of stumps but otherwise, great.

At this time the swimming pool has been discontinued and is no longer in service. The city of Livingston has a much nicer pool just 7 miles away that our visitors are welcome to use if lake swimming is not preffered. More

We camped here the first weekend that they reopened the campsites along the lake. Everything has been redone with new pads, electric and sewer hook-ups. All very nice. They have hiking, kayaking, fishing, and if you have a boat you can take it out on the lake. A great weekend get away.

Camping was great! well come back for sure. We did some fishing, kayaking, walking on the trials, riding our bikes. Thy had showers, not bad for camping. Our RV camp site was #100... good! The best RV camp site are #50 - 71. You can see the Lake.

Just went up for the day. Used to camp here and it was always a great place to relax and enjoy nature. I brought a little picnic lunch. Lots of tables around. Then took a 3 mile hike using the park map. Got there about 12 noon and it was fine. Left at 3:00 p.m. and was starting to get... More

We found this great park very soon after arriving here and we were glad we did. The rv park we were staying at was a bit short on hiking areas so we bought a pass and probably went 5 out of 7 days a week. We came from southern Indiana that has Brown County State Park, an 11,000+ acre park... More
